Bodhi Massage Therapy & Wellness Announces New Spa Location in Seminole with Client Appreciation Event

Experienced spa owner wants to “spread the goodness” of her St Petersburg location with a luxury spa option in Seminole.

Seminole, FL (January 19, 2024) Bodhi Massage Therapy & Wellness is expanding its luxury spa experience to a second location in Seminole, Florida, thanks to owner Amanda Kovach’s high school assignment to choose a career to shadow. “I worked next door to a massage therapist who always seemed so happy and fulfilled, “ Amanda recalled.  “So as part of my high school project, I asked him about his profession and that’s when I discovered massage and reiki.”  After her chance encounter, Amanda realized she wanted to attend massage school. However, it would be many years and different professions until she had the opportunity to finally follow her dream. Gaining experience as a therapist at high-end resorts and small boutiques around Orlando, she was always thinking about owning her own place.  “I enjoy talking to clients and getting to know them as people,” Amanda explained as motivation for her client-centered approach to therapy and wellness.  “I feel like it’s not about the money or the tip; it’s about a relationship, and a relationship of trust.”

  The original Bodhi Massage Therapy & Wellness opened in St Petersburg during the height of the pandemic in August 2020.  During that challenging time, Amanda not only kept her business afloat, but she also increased her client base and number of employees.  With her exceptional ratings and client loyalty established, a second location at 8836 Seminole Boulevard seemed like a perfect fit.  

  “I wanted to expand quality, trusted massage therapy,” Amanda said. “And just spread the goodness!” With a new opening from an experienced spa owner, she is in a unique position as a massage therapist herself to thoroughly address the needs of her clients as well as her therapists.  When asked how massage benefits people, Amanda beamed, “Let me count the ways: massage helps people not only physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. The effects are so good for your well-being and health. and it helps people feel better; reduce stress; recover from injury and chronic pain; and speed recovery from post-workout soreness as well as reduce tension headaches and migraines.” 

  The new Bodhi location at 8836 Seminole Blvd is hosting a Client Appreciation evening on Friday, February 16 from 6pm-8pm.  All are welcome to join Amanda and come visit her therapists for light refreshments and mini chair massages as well as discounts and giveaways.  Bodhi is also excited to introduce sound bowl healing sessions to our clients. Come feel the healing effects of Tibetan and crystal bowls during our Client Appreciation event.
